Fundings

The SFG supports SMEs in the areas of innovation, investment, skills development and internationalisation through various funding schemes. Key focus areas include business start-ups, digitalisation, sustainability, cyber security and regional development.

SFG Fundings

For whom?

SMEs from the SFG target group, including companies that offer IT security services (but only for the area of ISO 27001 certification)

For what?

IT security risk analyses, consulting, investments and training to increase IT security in companies

How much?

max. 30 % of the total project costs, max. € 15,000

For whom?

SMEs, manufacturing companies, service companies that contribute to strengthening the manufacturing sector

For what?

Expansion of existing operating sites, diversification of production through new, additional products, fundamental change of the entire production process, establishment of new operating sites, expansion of production capacities.

How much?

max. 35 % of the eligible costs

For whom?

micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises; manufacturing and craft businesses; business-related service providers

For what?

innovations, including the development of new (digital and/or sustainable) products and services. IP strategy, business model development, submission of an EU research project proposal, prototype, demonstration system, beta version, or market-ready product or service; internal personnel costs.

How much?

maximum grant amount for module XS: 14,000 euros; module XL: 75,000 euros

For whom?

micro-businesses, including entrepreneurs, in the fields of trade and skilled crafts, retail, and services

For what?

investments such as machinery and equipment, office and business supplies, including digital infrastructure (e.g., hardware and software), and construction projects
digitization of production, sales, marketing, and internal business processes

How much?

investment projects: up to 20 percent; digitalization projects: 30 percent of eligible costs

For whom?

micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as companies with a maximum of 750 full-time equivalent employees at the project site

For what?

diversification of existing products and services; introduction of new technologies and manufacturing methods; digitalization, automation, and engineering of business and production processes; development of new value chains; and building expertise in new business areas

How much?

grant of up to 200,000 euros

For whom?

innovative micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises established no more than 5 years prior to the submission of the application

For what?

investments in machinery and equipment, office and business supplies, and digital initiatives
consulting services in the areas of business administration, law, innovation, technology and digitalization, manufacturing and market transition, and organizational and business model development

How much?

up to 37,500 euros in funding per application

For whom?

Companies that have submitted a project to the FFG and have been approved for funding under the FFG´s basic program.

For what?

projects in the field of experimental development; projects in collaboration with other companies, research institutes, and universities; transformative corporate projects

How much?

The SFG increases the FFG´s loan amount by up to 20%.
