Climate neutrality through the Green Deal

Business, politics and society. Regionally, nationally and globally: everywhere, attention is focused on a common goal. “It’s about changing and improving the world,” says Horst von Buttlar, editor-in-chief of Capital and author of “The Green Decade – How the Climate Crisis is Revolutionising the Economy”. As part of the “Green Deal“, the EU has launched the Just Transition Fund (JTF) – one of the measures designed to lead Europe to climate neutrality in just under 30 years.

Building sustainable green pillars

This funding scheme supports investment projects that are in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal and that develop or expand long-term sustainable “green” business sectors. This creates sustainable and future-proof jobs in selected regions. In Styria, companies in the following regions

  • Western Upper Styria
  • Eastern Upper Styria
  • district Deutschlandsberg
  • district Graz-Umgebung

are eligible for funding. Manufacturing and service companies that contribute to strengthening the manufacturing sector may submit a funding application.

The four pillars of climate neutrality: growth – innovation – digitalisation – circular economy

The funding scheme focuses on providers of green technologies and the resulting positive employment effects. Are you a plant manufacturer looking to produce renewable energy technologies? Do you manufacture recycling plant or provide solutions for energy- and resource-efficient construction? Is your business focused on producing healthy and environmentally friendly food systems or components for e-mobility? If so, we will support your investment with up to 35 per cent. The key criteria for assessing projects lie in the areas of growth, innovation, digitalisation and the circular economy.

To secure funding for your project, you can make use of the Stille Beteiligung or Beteiligungsoffensive KMU  funding programmes.
