Styrian Food Hub: Planting, growing, and expanding together multiplies the harvest
The Styrian Food Hub brings together expertise and technological know-how, connects local companies—from startups to large enterprises—with international partners, and drives innovation, digitalization, AI, and expansion into global markets.
The “Styrian Delicatessen” is on its way to becoming an international hub for food technology. Leading the way is the Styrian Food Hub, which was reoriented in 2024.
Bringing together, collaborating, and advancing
An overview of the focus areas and activities:
- Organizing delegation and trade fair trips, company visits, and educational workshops
- collective and individual internationalization in foreign markets and collaboration with European partners
- know-how and technology transfer between industry and academia at home and abroad
- Training, continuing education, and professional development (annual “masterclasses”) along the production chain from prototyping to market launch
- Advancing digitalization and AI both within individual companies and across the network
- Financing and funding consulting and support for corporate and research collaborations, including Horizon Europe coaching in the area of the Farm-to-Fork Strategy
- A hub connecting 22 national and 52 international partners, as well as participation in transnational projects such as SMEOrigin, Fashion & Food, Regional Innovation Valleys, COEUS, and PRINCE, which have a total budget of nearly 15 million euros
