Today’s satel­lite commu­ni­ca­tion is comple­tely trans­formed by new mega constel­la­tions using low and medium earth orbits. These constel­la­tions attract a lot of inte­rest due to the recent geopo­li­tical situa­tion. The requi­re­ments for the necessary ground segment, such as user termi­nals suitable for mass produc­tion, are deman­ding and diffi­cult to imple­ment, espe­cially if a purely Euro­pean solu­tion is preferred.
