Harnessing the potential of digitalization: putting artificial Intelligence and smart services into practice—As a platform for smart services, the Smart Business Center makes these possibilities a reality.

Everyone is talking about digitalization and artificial intelligence, as well as smart services. Identifying customer needs early on, improving quality, or tapping into new market potential with new technologies: the possibilities of smart services are diverse. Tenants and external experts at the Smart Business Center demonstrate what this means in practice—whether while shopping, on construction sites, in industry, or in the restaurant industry.

Operated by the SFG, this innovation hub sees itself as an open platform for anyone interested, designed to foster networking. The goal is to make smart services and the opportunities associated with digitalization tangible and accessible. Styria already boasts a wealth of “smart know-how,” found in startups, established companies, and at universities and universities of applied sciences. The Smart Business Center in Graz helps entrepreneurs and all other interested parties leverage this know-how for their personal success.

Fitness trails, sports programs, group activity days—the commitment to “active mobility” in the workplace has paid off for the Smart Business Center and the employees of nine tenants. They are authorized to display the seal of approval for workplace health promotion through 2025.

GUEP (pronounced: GÜP) is more than just a software specialist. Based at the Smart Business Center in Graz, the company preserves infrastructure expertise, for example, thereby promoting sustainability—and saving us all a lot of hassle.

The Styrian startup Kilobaser and its collaboration partner MEDS at the SBC have developed a device that allows researchers to produce their own DNA for drug development. The innovation is now entering mass production.

Renters at the Smart Business Center

Currently, more than 40 tenants are located in the Smart Business Center (SBC), which offers approximately 7,300 m² of office space, while other companies with expertise in the field of smart business are based in other innovation hubs. The SBC provides these companies with modern facilities in a convenient location and access to a smart business network.
