DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:Webinar 3: Understanding the Investment Process\n
Across Europe\, research teams and innovators are developing promising for
est-based and biobased solutions with strong potential for environmental a
nd economic impact. Yet many early-stage innovations struggle to progress
beyond the laboratory\, often due to limited familiarity with investor exp
ectations\, early market validation\, or how to communicate their value ef
fectively.\n\nTo help address these barriers\, the Bioregions Facility o
f the European Forest Institute is launching a three‑part Investment R
eadiness Webinar Series\, designed to give innovation teams a clear and
practical introduction to early-stage investment.\nEach session is del
ivered by META Group\, a European leader in research commercialisati
on and innovation finance.\nThese webinars are designed to be interactiv
e\, with dedicated time for questions and open discussion. Participants ar
e welcome to share their own challenges and experiences so the sessi
ons can be as relevant and practical as possible.\nWebinar 3: Understandin
g the Investment Process\nThis final session takes a deeper look at ea
rly-stage equity investment from Business Angels\, Venture Capital funds
\, and Impact investors\, focusing on what happens once an investor show
s interest.\nIt offers a practical walk-through of the mechanics of
an early-stage deal\, helping participants understand how to prepare f
or and navigate the most critical phases of the process: term sheet negoti
ation and due diligence.\nThe focus is on how innovators can communicate t
heir goals clearly\, driving and owning the process\, while not losi
ng sight of the mandates\, priorities\, and decision-making processes
 of early-stage investors.\n
