SUMMARY;CHARSET=UTF-8:LEC DATA CHALLENGE 2023
URL:https://www.sfg.at/e/lec-data-challenge-2023/
DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:\nTo all Data Enthusiasts out in the world: This
year’s LEC Data Challenge (#LECDC2023) has just started! With the LECDC\
, we would like to encourage students and practitioners of various discipl
ines who are enthusiastic about data to develop a data-driven solution tha
t identifies cylinder-specific events. The Challenge runs until August 18\
, registration and participation are possible during the entire competitio
n runtime.\n\nLEC Data Challenge\nWith the LEC Data Challenge 2023\, we wo
uld like to encourage students and practitioners of various disciplines wh
o are enthusiastic about data to develop a data-driven solution that ident
ifies cylinder-specific events. A training data set consisting of differen
t cylinder-specific time series data is provided. Consisting of multiple f
eature signals and an event label\, the time series were obtained from lar
ge engines in real-world operation. A second data set contains only featur
e signals\, and the goal is to identify the type and time of an issue.\nYo
u are free to use any software and programming language to solve the LEC D
ata Challenge. For this reason\, the data sets for training and testing ar
e provided in the versatile CSV format. After completing the LEC Data Chal
lenge\, the quality of your solution on the test set will be evaluated in
three categories: overall cylinder event classification\, correct label pr
ediction\, and temporal precision. You will receive a detailed description
of the error/loss measures applied once the LEC Data Challenge has starte
 d. The top five teams will be invited to present their approaches to an ex
pert jury during a final (online) event on September 28\, 2023.\nThe LEC D
ata Challenge 2023 starts on May 23 (earliest data release) and ends Augus
t 18\, 2023 (submission deadline). Registration and participation are poss
ible throughout the entire period. Data and the detailed task description
will be provided for download after successful registration. If you have a
ny questions\, please contact us at data.challenge@lec.tugraz.at.\n
