Economics and Science in Unison
Competence centres: Economics and Science in Unison
Competence centres are research institutions, in which economics and science operate a joint research programme at the highest level. Basic research is focussed just as much on industrial research as on experimental developments. The FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) programme COMET encourages the development of competence centres and includes three programmes which are graded according to their level of ambition, public financing and duration. With 19 of a total of 45 Austrian K2/K1 centres and K projects Styria is an excellently positioned economic location in terms of innovation, research and international networking!
