Styria, the Cluster State

Clusters have proven themselves to be robust economic concepts. According to the public-private partnership model, alongside public authorities, companies and research facilities from the core sector are being incorporated into the holding company of a cluster. Where this model is concerned, Styria is a frontrunner, using the advantages of this strategy profitably: strong interconnection of small and medium-sized businesses, sustainable increase of innovation, impetus promoting cooperation through the transfer of knowledge, increase of economic growth and the competitive strength of a state as well as the economic profiling of the entire region. With the automobile cluster, an internationally recognized pilot model has been created. Further clusters have been initiated in the core sectors in wood, human technology, food technology, raw materials and environmental engineering.

Global Success through Networks

Networks are cooperations of companies from different fields of work, with the aim of complementing one another and growing stronger together.
