Strategic Guideline Innovation

Innovation is to be seen in general as a key for a continuing economic development. This argument accounts also for the European Commission at the Lisbon strategy, and demands an increase of 3% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of the research and development quota, until the year 2010.

With the work focus Innovation the SFG supports enterprises to initiate innovations, respectively to implement them. This happens on one hand by measures for the improvement of the knowledge and technology transfer, but also by monetary support, especially for the innovation transfer by the use of external consulting services, for the implementation of research and development plans and for the creation of production, respectively service surroundings for innovative products, and rendering of services.

Within the scope of this guidance principle the SFG offers comprehensive information and consultation regarding the issue of innovation, and sees itself also as intersection and mediator between the players in this field, and creates consciousness and motivation at the enterprises, and supports Styrian enterprises by tailor-made promotion programs at their innovation plans.
